Background/Plotline Connections

LoCH -----------> RoCH :
The connections?! Of course.....first, it tells the story about Yang Guo, Yang Kang and Mu Nianci's son!! Two of four main characters in LOCH!!! Second, there are even the same characters in RoCH that also show up in LoCH(most of them use the same actors too =P), for instance, Huang Yao Shi, Ou Yang Feng, Hong Qi Gong, Zhou Botong, Guo Jing, Huang Rong, and many others. As for Guo Jing & Huang Rong, the series adaptation rarely use the same actors with the ones in LoCH!!!^_~
Third, it also makes us to remember what happen in the last scenes of LoCH, since Yang Guo is anxious to know how his father died, and almost killed Guo Jing & Huang Rong, since he never know what actually happened, and Mu Nianci also never tell him what his father's characteristic like. And, trust me, if you read/watch RoCH first before you read/watch LoCH, you're going to be very curious along the way ^___~ Fourth, Guo Jing had to fight Genghis Khan's grandson, Kubilai Khan, the son of Tuo Lei. Which is seen in the first episodes of LoCH, how close Guo Jing and Tuo Lei are in Mongolia, and how they are the best of friends, also sworn brothers.

RoCH -----------> HSDS :
First, Guo Jing and Huang Rong created the Heaven Sword and the Dragon Sabre, which will be the MAIN ISSUE in HSDS^^
Second, Guo Xiang is the first chief of E Mei clan, also the one who built the clan, as it becomes one of 5 big famous clans that againts the Ming Jiao sect.
Third, Guo Xiang met Zhang Sam Feng(the chief of Wu Dang), while she's in the journey looking for Yang Guo. She caused him got kicked out from Shaolin, but then they became bestfriends.
 

Similarities

1. Guo Jing and Yang Guo both have this connection with condor birds ^^

2. Huang Rong prevent Guo Jing from marrying a Mongolian princess. Zhao Min, a Mongolian princess, prevent Zhang Wuji from marrying a Han woman ^_~ (a total opposite similarity)

3. Huang Rong and Zhao Min both spoiled, but smart/intelligent girl

4. Yang Kang's mother and Zhang Wuji's mother both died in a same way, suicide with a dagger after seeing their husband ALSO commited suicide =P

5. Guo Jing and Zhang Wuji starts from the same beginning, a little slow and lack of kungfu skill for several first episodes, but then both becomes the most powerful martial artist

6. Guo Jing and Yang Guo never get to know their fathers, but DO know well their father's sworn brother =P Guo Jing gets pretty close with Yang Tie Xin(Yang Kang's father), whilst Yang Guo gets pretty close with Guo Jing^^

7. Yang Guo/Xiao Long Nu and Zhang Wuji/Zhao Min, these couples doesn't have anyone's blessing 'bout their relationship ^_^

8. Legend of The Condor Heroes and Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre series start-off with a focus on the main character's parents ^_~

9. Guo Jing first met Huang Rong, while she disguised as a beggarman. Wuji first met Zhao Min, while she disguised as a man
